The B4B team asked me to return this year and happily I accepted a chance to show my first true fashion line!  Back in 2007 they gave me my first exposure on the runway and it was a blast!  This year the theme is "Green" and my designs were based off idea's I've had brewing for years. My "Salvage Wear" pieces were crafted by me; using new cloth with low-impact ie; factory remnants, Vegan Leather and Faux Fur.  My"V-Alter" (a vest that turns into a halter) and chiffon shifts are a big hit. "Green" to me also means versatility.  I love to create items that can be used more than one way.  The night was a huge success and there are plans to go bigger and better next year! Beats for BoobsTM is an annual fundraising event to raise community awareness for breast cancer through a collective celebration including educational live art, fire performances, a fashion show, culinary delights and innovative music.  I couldnt be more honored to participate in this event.  Specailly since it would be my first fashion show with my own clothing!  I really could not have done it without the love and support of my friends.  The event was a huge success raising @ $20,000 that will go to Bay Area organizations specifically devoted to the eradication of breast cancer through research, education, screening and treatment.  I was happy to also contribute my time an energy in revamping some of their B4B t-shirts into skirts and bags that were later utilized in the swag and giveaways but mostly worn by the organizers!

Music and Fashion are the borders I cross with Headcases and XLR8R is the perfect magazine for that combination.  So I felt it was a good time to give an official launch for Headcase with all my friends and potential business partners :0.  My VIP reception at Dalva included free drinks and food catered by Sauce restaurant (voted best of the bay).

Back again at Mighty on a sunny sunday with Bloody Mary drink specials and donation door we did things a little differently this time. We had 15 vendors giving everyone plenty of room to move and try things on.  The wares were all geared towards items you may want to have on the playa at burning man and we even had some customers come dressed in their own gear for the event!  Herman Privette stopped by and took some great photos of all of us as a way to show his support and we had a whole mess of DJ's representing their camps and supplying the much needed beats to keep us all in the mood.

A labor of love.. but a success!  We had a packed house and groovin tunes.  You could get a massage or watch the Super Bowl on big screen in the lounge.  The bartenders at Mighty are sweet and so is the 6K sq ft of space!  Our door babes said everyone was "happy to donate a few bucks to the cause", as we wanted this to be accessible to everyone.  Our vendors seemed to appreciate the good vibe and flow of the day.  We will definitely be back.
