Beats For BoobsTM Fundraiser DeFalco Design premiere at a charity fundraiser for breast cancer. September 27, 2007 Nitevibe's Buzz Archive on the show: http://www.nitevibe.com/buzz/nitevibe_buzz304.htm B4B Websitehttp://www.beats4boobs.org Beats for BoobsTM is an annual fundraising event to raise community awareness for breast cancer through a collective celebration including educational live art, fire performances, a fashion show, culinary delights and innovative music. I couldnt be more honored to participate in this event. Specailly since it would be my first fashion show with my own clothing! I really could not have done it without the love and support of my friends. The event was a huge success raising @ $20,000 that will go to Bay Area organizations specifically devoted to the eradication of breast cancer through research, education, screening and treatment. I was happy to also contribute my time an energy in revamping some of their B4B t-shirts into skirts and bags that were later utilized in the swag and giveaways but mostly worn by the organizers! See slideshow for pics (thanks to Herman Privette and Jennifer McKay): B4B JavaScript must be enabled to view images.

XLR8R Magazine & Headcase Party My first press for getaheadcase.com! So I hosted a product launch and magazine release party for XlR8R. August 2, 2006 Announcement and Page from XLR8R: http://defalcodesign.com/xlr8r.aspx Music and Fashion are the borders I cross with Headcases and XLR8R is the perfect magazine for that combination. So I felt it was a good time to give an official launch for Headcase with all my friends and potential business partners :0. My VIP reception at Dalva included free drinks and food catered by Sauce restaurant (voted best of the bay). XLR8R JavaScript must be enabled to view images. Playa Play, sample sale of fashions for the journey home Second production at Mighty, with 15 vendors providing wares with a burning man slant. June 26, 2006 Web Flyer with list of vendors: http://defalcodesign.com/playaplay.aspx Photos on MVGALS:http://mvgals.net/gallery/hdefalco_PlayaPlay-062506 Back again at Mighty on a sunny sunday with Bloody Mary drink specials and donation door we did things a little differently this time. We had 15 vendors giving everyone plenty of room to move and try things on. The wares were all geared towards items you may want to have on the playa at burning man and we even had some customers come dressed in their own gear for the event! Herman Privette stopped by and took some great photos of all of us as a way to show his support and we had a whole mess of DJ's representing their camps and supplying the much needed beats to keep us all in the mood. We had a packed house and groovin tunes. You could get a massage or watch the Super Bowl on big screen in the lounge. The bartenders at Mighty are sweet and so is the 6K sq ft of space! Our door babes said everyone was "happy to donate a few bucks to the cause", as we wanted this to be accessible to everyone. Our vendors seemed to appreciate the good vibe and flow of the day. We will definitely be back. JavaScript must be enabled to view images.
